Leaders in Bungoma County have vowed to revive factories in the region. Led by Zachariah Barasa, a gubernatorial aspirant in Bungoma County after his clearance by IEBC to vie for the seat.

He has promised to set up factories in Bungoma County which will reduce the unemployment rate in the County thus curbing the increasing rate of poverty in the region.

On the other hand, he has promised to improve the health care system in the County through construction of modern facilities. This will reduce the number of patients travelling to other Counties to seek medication hence reducing the mortality rate. He says this will be possible once elected as the County Governor.

He has urged other contestants to carry out peaceful campaigns and avoid using youths to cause violence in political gatherings.

He has urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to conduct free and fair elections on August 9.
