The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has awarded 46 police officers for their outstanding performance in the Country.
Eight police stations across the Country were awarded for cleanliness, community policing and best detention facilities.
The awards were held on Thursday, to encourage the entire police force to deliver the best services to citizens.
Police Inspector General Joseph Boinnet mentioned that a cattle rustling has experienced tremendous success with the aid of Police but much more still has to be done to fight corruption and terrorism.

Kenya’s Ambassador to U.S Robert Godec promised to offer continued support saying that joined effort between U.S and Kenya will see a win in fighting Al-shabaab.
“IPOA has helped to fight corruption and extra judicial killings together with violence and the police play a crucial role to maintain security, “he said.
Interior and coordination of National government Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery said that the Ministry is committed to ensure that Kenyans are served equally without discrimination.
“The Officers provide a forum through which confidence and trust are built and therefore the law will take full process in crime cases”, Nkaiserry reiterated.
The CS explained that the National police service offers quality democratic services to citizens and it is important to recognize them for their effort.
