The County government of Nandi together with the Ethics and Anti-corruption commission (EACC) have signed action plans aimed at helping the war against graft. Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and EACC officials led by commissioner Rose Mghoi signed the documents during the the commemoration of the International Anti-Corruption day, an event held at the Kipchoge Keino stadium in Kapsabet.
Addressing the public during the signing, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang said the plan will help prevent the prevalence of corruption.
The Governor noted that the commission was rolling out the capacity building on corruption eradication mechanisms in both the national and County governments and the public should be sensitized on the importance of avoiding graft.
On the other hand, EACC commissioner Rose Mghoi said the commission is working around the clock to ensure that corrupt leaders and any one involving in corruption is held responsible and face the law accordingly. She urged Nandi residents and all Kenyans to be in the forefront when it comes to fighting corruption vices, insisting that graft isn’t allowed at any point.
