The Bungoma chapter this year’s theme was (Sovereignty of the People Access to Justice.)
“There is this saying in Kenya that justice is not fair; the rich enjoy justices while the poor do not”
The event spear-headed by Daniel Khaemba who is awaiting admission.
Bungoma chairperson J.B Ochula graced the event through his guidance .The purpose of the event was to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich.
“Advocates provide free legal advice all-over to anyone who comes to court be it a client or not maybe in person or an organization.”

Daniel stated that there are pro-bonus services they offer during this period. This maybe to criminals in prisons and do not have legal presentation. The court usually assigns advocates who do pro-bonus jobs to ensure criminals get justice.
This year’s event was impressive as people turned out in large numbers and people had the opportunity to interact with well known lawyers in Bungoma chapter.
Daniel urged LSK Bungoma chapter to organize such an event twice per year.
“Whatever we are doing is to ensure there is fair administration of justice .We ensure that there is fair playing ground between the parties involved.”
