UDA nomination in Trans Nzoia County kicked off well with several aspirants of various seats jostling for the party’s certificate.
The exercise was delayed for more than two hours before it kicked off in several parts of the County something that made some voters leave polling stations
In Cherangany, there was confrontation among several aspirants who claimed one aspirant had imposed an officer who had disguised himself as an election official and that he had lured some voters into voting for him where they were claims that he had involved in acts of marking ballot papers in favour of the said aspirant.

The action prompted youths from opposing sides to invade the polling station and burnt ballot boxes and forced returning officer to stop the nomination process which he honoured before normalcy was restored by security agencies while the impersonator was arrested and taken to Kachibora police station.
However, voting exercise continued as voters started trooping in several polling stations, the violence was also witnessed in parts of Sikhendu ward where some aspirants engaged in fights over claims of vote rigging.
