Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga has criticized Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s sentiments on ‘ban’ of mtumba as he will take over the leadership of the country if he wins the 9th August polls.
Addressing parents and teachers in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Tunya primary school in Bukusu West ward in his Constituency, Mwambu wanted Raila to look at harsh economic conditions that Kenyans are experiencing due to the increase of price of essential commodities like maize flour, cooking oil and petrol but not moving around telling Kenyans that he will carry on with President Uhuru’s legacy which has left many Kenyans suffering.
Mwambu used the opportunity and told Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa to come out clearly and tell Western people on the number of youths he has employed for having served in the government for about 9 years in high ranks that are so influential and to also count the projects he has done in Western but not involving in petty and indecisive politics.
He revealed how he prioritized education immediately he assumed office in 2017 for he stated to have build modern structures across all schools in the Constituency and said that there are no mud walled classes that he found in his area and urged Bumula residents to consider him on 9th August so that he continues with his projects that are beneficial for his people.
Mwambu told parents to be cautious with their children and advise them not to involve themselves in politics of causing chaos in political meetings saying it will be so risk for their lives and told them to engage their children in different activities so that they don’t find time to be used by politicians by giving them small money and instruct them to do ugly things for their own political mileage as he urged his fellow candidates to campaign peacefully by highlighting their manifestos to electorates.
The headteacher of Tunya primary school lauded Mwambu’s development record as she said that as she joined the school in 2021 she found mud walled structures in form of classes but as she approached the area MP to help put up modern classes he cooperated and put up four classes and the ablution block in the school.
