Three hundred (300) Secondary Schools from across the Country is set to take part in a mathematics contest this coming Saturday at Kapsabet Boys High School, Nandi County.
Kapsabet Boys High School Chief Principal Mr. Kipchumba Maiyo has affirmed that saying all is set for Saturday and this will be conducted by the Institution in conjunction with Strathmore University being the 19th Edition of the contest.
Maiyo cited that the contest is a way of competition among the schools to showcase that Maths as a subject is not hard as perceived by many students and that it can be tackled easily as opposed to negative attitude among the students.
He added that all the schools involved in this are requested to prepare well under two broad competition categories as follows:
One is the senior category-Comprising of ten students from the upper classes (Form 4, six students and Form 3 four students), secondly, the Junior category of ten students from the lower classes (Form 2 six students and Form 1 four students) in that category respectively.
“The school is allowed to make many entries depending on their own arrangements and categories of Awards to be awarded in the contest,” Maiyo revealed.
The Awards to be given out at the contest include; the best girls school, the best boys school, the best day school, the best mixed school and the best overall school respectively.
Kapsabet Boys High School is a National Boys School based in Nandi County and is one among the giant schools in the Nation that has been producing top leaders.
It is situated at Chemundu/Kapng’etuny Ward in Chesumei Constituency.
