Kakamega County gubernatorial candidate Cleophas Wakhungu Malala has been cleared to vie for the most coveted seat in the forthcoming General Elections.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission gave the current Senator a nod to contest for the gubernatorial seat in the August polls.
The clearance comes few days after one, Fred Muka who headed to the courts to issue orders restraining IEBC from entertaining, considering, processing, evaluating, clearing and registering Malala as the gubernatorial candidate for the August polls.
Malala (ANC) will be facing off with Fernandes Barasa (ODM), Suleiman Sumba (KANU) among other contestants where a stiff competition seems to be between Barasa and Malala.
