The Kapsabet County Referral Hospital management has given out a public notice of a period of fourteen days to the public on six unclaimed bodies that have overstayed in the mortuary since the year 2020 saying after the elapse of the given time without any claim; it will be disposed legally by the Hospital management.
In a public notice by the medical superintendent of the Hospital which read that pursuant of section 115,118, section 119(ii) and section 122 of the public health, cap 242 and public mortuaries rule if 1991 of the same act, Kapsabet County Referral hospital wishes to notify members of the public that there are unclaimed bodies at the facility morgue since June 2020 and the hospital is kindly requesting members of the public to assist with any information in locating the family members.
The notice indicated that the six unclaimed bodies that have overstayed in the mortuary between 6th August 2020 to 19th January 2021 belongs to two unknown African adult male and female, Henry Baraza, Nelson Kiptum, Joseph Atsiaya Kupasy and Aliyol Ewoi respectively.
The public is requested to give out information that will help in identifying their relatives and that the hospital management has made it clear that it will dispose of the bodies on elapse of the fourteen days notice period if no one will claim the bodies.
