Thousands of youths from across Aldai constituency in Nandi County thronged Kobujoi grounds for a Kenya Defence Force (KDF) recruitment exercise which kicked off today countrywide.
The exercise started exactly at 8.00 am in the morning and the youths were taken through the process of certificate verification, given that one of the requirements is that one must have attained a minimum grade of D+ and above in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
KDF recruitment officer in charge of Nandi County Colonel Mohammed said the exercise is conducted in accordance with the law and urged the public to be vigilant to avoid engaging conmen and cartels who masquerade as KDF officers citing that the recruitment is free of charge and any form of corruption won’t be tolerated.
He said it is unfortunate that ladies’ recruitment won’t be done this time round in the constituency but will take others from the remaining constituencies, according to the recruitment rules and regulations stipulated.
He said that the exercise has just started well and have not heard or experience any form of injustices or corrupt cases thus urged the public to be on alook.
The five-day exercise which began today in Aldai Sub County will be conducted tomorrow in Nandi Hills, followed by Emgwen, Chesumei and finally Mosop on Friday.
