The members of the County Assembly of Nandi have been urged by the KANU party officials from the region to consider passing the Building bridges initiative Bill for the benefit of the people of Nandi.
Speaking to Westfm in Kapsabet, the KANU Nandi party officials led by their chair Mr. Simion Ng’eny said they appeal to members of the county assembly of Nandi to unanimously pass the BBI Bill without any hesitation.
They revealed that the proposed amendments in the document are very beneficial and essential to the public thus must not make a mistake of disapproving the bill.
“We want to ask members of the county assembly of Nandi to pass the bill without being influenced, mislead or deceived by politics to reject it because the document is very important,” they said strongly.
The party officials affirmed that the document will enhance development due to the allocation of resources as counties are to reap and benefit from the ward development funds.
They called upon the public to participate in the public participation forums in order to give out their views concerning the document so as to be captured adding that as residents of Nandi they will not want to lose while other counties benefit thus asked them to consider passing the Bill.
The county assembly of Nandi is conducting public participation concerning the issue of the Bill, an exercise that kicked off in Tindiret on Monday in abid to hear and collect views from the public.
