After President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered his cabinet and executive officeers to get the Covid-19 jab, Mr. Micah Pkopus Powon Permanent secretary for  State Department for Development of ASAL region has been vaccinated at Kapenguria County Referral Hospital.

Being a recent executive officer to be vaccinated, Powon said the country is facing the third wave hence urged his colleagues not to ignore taking the jab rather go for it in order to flatten the curve.

Speaking after being vaccinated, Mr. Powon assured Kenyan citizens that the vaccine is safe and the misconceptions being spread against it should be disregarded.

He urged Kenyans to go for the vaccine citing that the vaccine is just like any other vaccines that have been administered previously.

“Kenyans should observe regulations that have been set by the Ministry of Health in combating the spread of Covid-19. Let’s keep on washing our hands and observe social distance.” He concluded.
