About ten people were injured following a grisly road accident that involved six vehicles at Kabrengu junction along Webuye – Eldoret highway in Matete Sub County.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred after the brakes of truck ferrying construction material from Kenyan coast to a neghbouring country failed as it descended the steep Chimoi slope heading towards Webuye.

About ten people were injured following a grisly road accident that involved six vehicles at Kabrengu junction along Webuye – Eldoret highway in Matete Sub County.
The driver lost control after hitting a bump near the junction as it gained speed before it brushed two other trucks that were in front heading to the same direction.
Later the truck rammed into two matatus belonging to Great Rift and Bungoma shuttle Sacco respectively tha were approaching from the opposite direction and a pick up that had been parked by the roadside injuring the occupants before it fell blocking a section of the busy road.
The injured were rescued and rushed to Webuye sub county Hospital.
The accident left several traders at the market counting losses after the truck crushed and destroyed their goods.
