The number of Covid-19 cases in Kenya has reached 3,215 after 121 people tested positive out of 3,291 samples tested in 24 hours. The cumulative number of samples tested so far is 106,247. Of the new cases, 115 are Kenyans while 6 are foreigners. 44 patients have been discharged, bringing the number of recoveries to 44. 3 parents, have however, succumbed to the virus as fatalities reach 92.
Nairobi County leads with new cases, at 49 followed closely by Busia County which has 37 cases. Mombasa has 20, Kajiado 5 cases, Migori 4 cases, Kiambu and Kilifi 2 cases each while Muranga and Nyeri have 1 case each. In Nairobi, the cases are spread out in Kibra with 18, Westlands 9, Kamukunji and Ruaraka 4 cases each, Dagoretti North has 3 cases, Embakasi Central, Embakasi West and Langata have 2 cases each. Embakasi South, Kasarani, Roysambu, Starehe and Makadara have 1 case each.
In Busia County, all cases are of truck drivers at the Malaba border point. Mombasa’s cases are spread out in Likoni with 7, Mvita with 5, Kisauni with 3 cases, Jomvu and Changamwe with 2 cases each and Nyali 1 case. Kajiado has 5 cases, 3 from Kajiado East and 2 from Kajiado Central. In Migori, the cases are in Suna East which has 2, Kuria West, Kuria East have 1 case each. The cases in Kiambu County are in Ruiru and Kiambu town which have a case each. In Kilifi, the 2 cases are from Kilifi North, Muranga has one case from Kiharu and Nyeri one case from Nyeri Central.
